川床で佇む舞妓さんの後ろ姿。
色とりどりの帯が印象的な一枚。
舞妓は「だらりの帯」と呼ばれる長い帯を締めます。この帯は足首のあたりまで垂れ下がり、歩くとゆらゆら揺れます。長さが5m以上もあるこの帯を締めるのにはかなりの力を必要とするため、昔から男衆（おとこし）と呼ばれる男性が着付けを担当します。
帯の端には舞妓の所属している置屋の紋が入っています。これは、10歳位の子供が舞妓をしていた時代に、もし外で迷子になっても、帯の紋を見て置屋まで送り届けてもらえるようにするための工夫だったのです。
